Warriors' Washpun leads rout of Bettendorf

BETTENDORF — Wes Washpun filled out the boxscore with impressive numbers Friday night (Dec. 3) as Washington opened the season with a 65-40 nonconference victory over Bettendorf.

Washington’s talented point guard collected 32 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. He shot 70 percent from the field (14 of 20) and hit a pair of 3-pointers.

Josh Oglesby made four 3-pointers and scored 14 points for the Warriors. He also finished with 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and a blocked shot.

Nick Hughes and Jake Ashby led the Bulldogs (0-1) with 12 points apiece.
