Quincy Bruce had the line for the Washington boys bowlers Friday at Lancer Lanes, rolling games of 266 and 221 for a 487 series that helped the Warriors past Jefferson, 2922-2888, in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet.

Jefferson held a 49-pin lead after the first round when Dan Britton, Austin Kluth and Will James rolled series of 468, 439 and 408, respectively for the J-Hawks.

Kyle Kaness had a 230 high game and 434 series to help keep the Warriors close.

The Warriors beat the J-Hawks by 83 pins in the Baker round.
