MARSHALLTOWN - Linn-Mar finished fourth in the district boys swimming meet Saturday at Marshalltown.

Cedar Falls won eight of 11 events and breezed to the title with 318 points. Marshalltown was second with 236, Waterloo West with 227 and Linn-Mar fourth with 213. Ottumwa, Vinton-Shellsburg and Waterloo East rounded out the field.

Linn-Mar did not have any winners, but record three seconds. The Lions were runnersup in the 200 medley relay, Duggan Trenary finished second in the 100 butterfly and Nate Greve was second in the 100 breaststroke.

District winners advance to the state meet Saturday at the Marshalltown YMCA. Other qualifiers are determined by the top times from around the state.

Two districts were postponed Saturday because of inclement weather and will be held Monday. Upon completion of those meets, the field for the state meet will be set.
