CASCADE - The surging Marion High School boys track team won half the events at the Cascade Early Bird  meet on Friday with nine winners.

Lukas Mees was a double champion in the 800 meter run (2:01.65) and the 1600 meter run (4:30.70), continuing his string of impressive outings this spring.

Derrick Williams captured the 100 meter dash in 11:00 seconds and Taylor Rogers claimed the 110 hurdles in 14.75 seconds.

Marion also claimed the 4x800 relay, shuttle hurdle relay, 4x200 relay, distance medley and 4x100 relay.

The Indians finished second in eight other events, with 1-2 finishes in five different events.
