Dyersville Beckman, ranked No. 1 in Class 1A, scored three goals in the second half and shrugged off a determined Marion upset bid, 4-1, Friday at Marion.
Marion struck first, scoring three minutes into the game on a give-and-go by Daniel Tribble and Enoch Duval, who banged the ball into the net.
The Indians had other scoring opportunities in the half that they were unable to capitalize upon, and Beckman slipped in a goal in the final minute of the period to tie the game, 1-1.
Marion keeper Will Byers made several big saves in the game. He ended with 15 saves.
