INDEPENDENCE - Prairie crowned four champions and had seven runnerup finishes Saturday en route to the championship of the Independence Invitational wrestling meet.

Prairie totaled 235.5 points to beat Alburnett's 190.5. Xavier was sixth with 92.

Josh Wenger (126), Austin Gould (182), Casey Becker (195) and Andrew Netolicky (285) won titles for Prairie.

Gould beat teammate Cam Rathje in the title bout at 182. Gould won by injury default.

Wenger pinned Xavier's Clint Lembeck in the 126 final. Lembeck was Xavier's highest finisher.

Prairie recorded 20 pins in the meet. Wenger, Gould, Casey Becker, Rathje, Jonah Nassif, Trey Blaha and River Whitters had two pins apiece.
