Smith fires Marion to 2nd in triangular

Bre Smith fired a 359 series to lead Marion to second place Friday in a triangular girls bowling meet at Marion Bowl.

West Delaware won the meet with a score of 2497. Marion was second with 2078 and Independence was third with 1664.

Taylor Lamm shot a 352 series for Marion.

West Delaware's Riley Cole shot high game (205) and series (380).

FARLEY - Emily Clapp rolled a two-game series of 358 and Bre Smith added a 356 for the Marion High School girls bowling team in a 2349-2221 loss to Western Dubuque Friday in a Wamac Conference meet at Cobra Lanes in Farley.

Megan Dolphin of Western Dubuque led everyone with a two-game series of 201-219 for a 420.

MAQUOKETA - Bre Smith and Taylor Lamm had the hot hands Tuesday as Marion defeated Maquoketa by a score of 2,064 to 1,940 in girls bowling at Timber Lanes in Maquoketa.

Smith rolled the high game with a 193 and Lamm had the high two-game series with a 335.

CAMANCHE - The Marion girls finished fourth in the five0-team Camanche Invitational bowling tournament Saturday at Imperial Lanes.

Western Dubuque won with a score of 2416. Marion shot a 2055.

Blayke Brice shot a 296 series to lead Marion. She also had high game with a 162.
