Marion - Girls Bowling
WATERLOO — Denver built up a 133-pin lead in the first round and held on to beat Marion, 2104-2076, Nov. 23 in a season opener at Maple Lanes.
Taylor Lamm had high game (158) and series (279) for Marion. Stephanie Loesel rolled a 274, Juliah Banfield 262, Joiah Banfield 244 and Hannah Wendling 242.
Marion - Girls Bowling
All seven Metro schools have entered bowling teams in the Prairie Invitational Baker Tournament the next two Saturdays at Lancer Lanes.
Iowa City West, Iowa City High, Cedar Falls and Louisa-Muscatine will join Linn-Mar, Xavier, Washington, Marion, Jefferson, Kennedy and Prairie. The girls’ tournament is Saturday (Dec. 11) and the boys’ is Dec. 18.
