Marion boys roll to 6th straight tennis win

DUBUQUE - Marion rolled to its sixth straight win and stayed unbeaten Monday, whipping Western Dubuque 7-2 in a boys tennis meet at Eagle Point.

Brandon Hornback cruised to a 10-1 win at No.1 singles.

Hornback, Michael Anderson, Kyle Kennedy and Caleb Scott won in singles and doubles for Marion.

Marion boys rout Maquoketa in tennis

The Marion boys rolled past Maquoketa, 9-0, Friday in a tennis meet at Marion.

The Indians (5-0) lost only 12 games en route to the victory.

Brandon Hornback trounced Jacob Miller, 10-1, at  No.1 singles.

The Marion boys tennis team ran its record to 4-0 Monday in a 6-3 win over Western Dubuque at Marion.

Marion's Brandon Hornback blitzed Devin Watters, 10-1, at No.1 singles.

Michael Anderson and Caleb Scott also won singles matches for Marion.

The Indians swept all three doubles matches to seal the win.
