Marion blanks Maquoketa again

For the second time this season, the Marion boys tennis team blanked Maquoketa in a Wamac Conference match, winning Monday, 9-0, in Marion.

Caleb Scott was a 10-0 winner of Luke Davison at No. 1 singles for the Indians

Marion boys blank South Tama, 9-0

TAMA - Caleb Scott won a 10-3 decision over Ruben Garcia at No. 1 singles, leading Marion to a 9-0 Wamac Conference boys tennis win over South Tama on Thursday.

Scott also combined with Nate Meister to win at No. 1 doubles.

Marion boys net victory over Oelwein

Caleb Scott of Marion whipped Tony Rex, 10-3, at No. 1 singles Tuesday as the Indians topped Oelwein in a Wamac Conference tennis meet at Marion.

Peter Ward, Maverick Miller and Trevor Gamerdinger also won their singles matches for Marion.

Marion nets 3 titles at Wamac tennis

MAQUOKETA - Caleb Scott of Marion High School won the No. 1 singles title at the Wamac Conference boys tennis tournament Monday in Maquoketa.

Nate Meister of Marion captured the title at No. 2 singles and Maverick Miller was crowned the champion at No. 4 singles.

Western Dubuque edged Marion for the team championship, 41-39.

Peter Ward, Seth Tuetken and Trevor Gamerdinger garnered second-place finishes for the Indians in singles. All three Marion doubles teams placed second as well.
