Kolariks win Wamac titles for Marion

Abby Kolarik and Morgan Kolarik won titles for Marion High School at the Wamac Conference West Division track meet Monday at Thomas Park.

Abby Kolarik captured the 400 meter dash in 1:00.11. Morgan Kolarik claimed the 100 meter hurdles in 15.70 seconds.

Williamsburg won the team championship. Marion placed fifth out of eight teams.

Kolarik, Combs win titles for Indians

INDEPENDENCE - Abby Kolarik won the 400 meter dash and Miceala Combs captured the discus for the Marion Indians Monday at the Independence track meet.

Kolarik claimed the 400 in 59.94 seconds and Combs took the discus with a throw of 107 feet, 6 inches.

Mahlia Brown placed second in the shot put (32 feet). Morgan Kolarik finished third in the 400 hurdles and Ellen Cannon was third in the 800 meter run.

Marion finished fourth in the team standings.

Marion girls win 3 events at own meet

Morgan Kolarik of Marion High School captured the 100 hurdles at the Marion Invitational track meet Thursday at Thomas Park.

The Indians also claimed the sprint medley and the distance medley.

Benton Community won the 11-team meet with 105 points. Marion placed eighth.

Kolarik girls shine for Marion track

Abby Kolarik won two events and Morgan Kolarik won another for the Marion Indians at the Pekin Relays Monday.

Abby Kolarik captured the 200 meter dash (26.87) and 400 meter dash (1:01.72). Morgan Kolarik claimed the 100 meter hurdles (16.10).

Kolarik wins 100 hurdles for Marion

Morgan Kolarik captured the 100 meter hurdles for the Marion Indians Thursday at the Marion Early Bird Meet at Thomas Park.

Cascade won seven of the 19 events. Anamosa and North Linn won four events apiece.

No team scores were kept.
