Iowa City West defeated Prairie, 8-1, in a Mississippi Valley Conference girls tennis meet at Prairie Tuesday.

Michelle Grenn collected a 10-6 victory at No.5 singles for Prairie.

Prairie girls fall to Wahlert netters

Prairie won two of three doubles matches, but it wasn't enough to overcome Dubuque Wahlert Tuesday in girls tennis.

Wahlert won five of six singles matches and posted a 6-3 win.

Prairie girls sweep MVC meets

Maddie Rainey, Magui Caro, Michelle Grenn and Emily Wetheral won both of their singles matches Saturday as Cedar Rapids Prairie won a pair of Mississippi Valley Conference tennis meets at Prairie.

The Hawks clipped Cedar Falls, 6-3, and blanked Waterloo East, 9-0.
