Hawks whipped by Washington

Washington continued its dominance on the tennis courts, whipping Prairie 9-0 Wednesday in a girls meet at Washington.

The Warriors ran their record to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the Mississippi Valley Conference. It was their sixth straight 9-0 win. They have only lost one set all season.

Hawks rally past Waterloo West in girls tennis

WATERLOO -- Caroline Rainey and Karissa Kalous teamed up for an 11-9 win at No. 1 doubles and Prairie rallied past Waterloo West for a 5-4 win Thursday in a Mississippi Valley Conference girls tennis meet.

The score was tied, 3-3, after singles. West won singles matches 1 through 3 and Prairie matches 4 through 6.

The Hawks won the top two doubles matches to pull out the victory.

Hawks' Duvall wins, but Prairie beaten by Kennedy

Jackie Pedersen had a perfect day Monday for the Kennedy girls tennis team in an 8-1 victory over Prairie in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet at Kennedy.

Pedersen posted a 10-0 victory at No.1 singles, then joined forces with Sarah Lasecki for a 10-0 verdict at No.1 doubles.

Jacqui Duvall posted Prairie's lone win.

Prairie - Girls Tennis

Prairie beats East, loses to J-Hawks

Prairie won 90 of 91 games and waxed Waterloo East, 9-0, Saturday morning in a Mississippi Valley Conference girls tennis meet at Prairie.

The Hawks played at Jefferson Saturday afternoon and were beaten, 7-2.

Maddie Rainey won two singles matches for Prairie. The Hawks' doubles team of Tasha Olson and JacQui Duvall also won twice.

Cedar Rapids Prairie swept all nine matches and routed Dubuque Senior, 9-0, Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference girls tennis meet.

Prairie is 2-2 overall and in the MVC.
