Hiatt helps Cougars bowl over Warriors

Max Hiatt rolled a 444 series to lead the Kennedy boys bowling team to a 2,826-2,381 win over Washington on Tuesday at Lancer Lanes.

Hunter Bachmeier had a 334 series to lead the Warriors.

Kennedy: Max Hiatt 231-213=444; Bert Goodwin 228-179=407; James Jambois 180-211=391; Nick Green 190-170=360; Nathan Fisher 153-173=326; Dakota Dippel 157-159=316.

Zaugg, Miller bowl Xavier over Wash

Cameron Zaugg bowled a 267 game and Caleb Miller had a 488 series to lead the Xavier boys bowling team to a 3,114 to 2,725 win over Washington on Friday at Lancer Lanes.

Zaugg also rolled a 203 game for a 470 series for the Saints (8-3).

Bryan Cline had a 245 game and a 448 series for the Warriors (1-10).

Xavier (3,114): Caleb Miller 245-243=488, Cameron Zaugg 267-203=470, Jacob Fulton 166-223=389, Michael Buenzow 225-164=389, Brett Young 170-202=372, Charlie Hart 173-153=326.

Mustang bowlers clip Washington

DUBUQUE - Bryan Cline led the Washington boys with a 379, but Dubuque Hempstead had a pair of bowlers over 400 in a 2,989-2,425 victory over the Warriors on Tuesday at Cherry Lanes.

Chance Brimeyer led the Mustangs with a 438. Teammate Cody Scheffert had a 408, including a 247 in his first game.

Prairie boys edge Washington by 44 pins

Matthew Gallaro posted a 245 game and a 449 series to lead the Prairie boys bowling team in a tight 2,946 to 2,902 win over Washington on Friday at Lancer Lanes.

Bryan Cline had a 249 game and a 431 series for the Warriors, who won the Baker round 990 to 976, but couldn’t catch the Prairie Hawks.

Prairie (2,946): Matthew Gallaro 245-204=449, Nick Moffitt 198-189=387, Zach Zimmermann 181-183=364, Lucas Gallaro 188-158=346, Walker Hunt 150-194=344, Sawyer Hanson 212-212=424.

Foye paces No.3 Linn-Mar bowlers

Kaleb Foye rolled a 477 series Friday as third-ranked Linn-Mar defeated Washington, 3215-2618, in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet at the Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.

Foye had games of 242 and 235. Sam Crawford was right behind for the undefeated Lions (8-0) with a 463 series with games of 235 and 228.

Bryan Cline of Washington (1-7) bowled the high game with a 279 and finished with a 474 series, just three pins behind Foye.
