Cline has the hot hand for Warrior boys in win

Bryan Cline was red hot for the Washington boys Friday, rolling games of 268 and 213 for a 481 series that led the Warriors past Iowa City West, 3173-2684, in boys bowling at Lancer Lanes.

Three Warriors had 400 series. Quincy Bruce also had the hot hand with games of 223 and 246 for a 469 series. Zach Christensen shot games of 215 and 202 for a 417 series.

Kyle Kaness shot a 224 game for Washington.

Washington - Boys Bowling

Warrior boys bowlers overwhelm Prairie

Kyle Kaness fired high game of 259 and series of 428 to lead Washington's rout of Prairie, 3043-2521, Friday in boys bowling at Lancer Lanes.

All five Washington bowlers that counted in the score rolled at least one 200 game. Quincey Bruce had a 247, Joey Podgorski a 242 and Jacob Rogers a 206. Zach Christensen rolled games of 201 and 204.

Nick Blood led Prairie with a 210 high game and 385 series.

Wahlert boys bowl over Warriors

DUBUQUE - Three Dubuque Wahlert boys rolled 400 series to lead the Golden Eagles past sluggish Washington, 3129-2769, Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference bowling match at Cherry Lanes.

Zach Christensen led Washington with a 220 high game and 397 series.

Wahlert's Nick Banwarth rolled high series of 481 and he also had high game of 258.

Christensen leads Warrior boys bowlers

Zach Christensen had the hot hand Friday rolling games of 242 and 219 for a 461 series that powered Washington past Cedar Falls, 3084-2457, in boys bowling at Lancer Lanes.

Quincy Bruce added a 424 series for Washington and Bryan Cline shot a 404. Joey Podgorski shot a 231 game and Kyle Kaness had a 223.

Brandon James had a 219 high game and 407 series for Cedar Falls.

Robe lifts Lions past Washington bowlers

Dreyson Robe fired three strikes in the final frame of the Baker round to lift Linn-Mar past Washington, 3188-3183, in boys bowling Friday at Lancer Lanes.

Washington battled back from a 48-pin deficit at the end of the first round.

Washington's Quincy Bruce tossed three strikes in his final frame of the Baker round to put the pressure on Robe, who needed two strikes and a six count to pull out the win.

Instead, Robe struck out for the five-pin victory.
