Wahlert rolls past Wash girls bowlers

DUBUQUE - Kristina Hochrein had the hot hand for Dubuque Wahlert on Friday with a 226 high game and 430 series that led the Golden Eagles past Washington, 2546-2299, in girls bowling at Cherry Lanes.

Ashley Duffy led Washington with a 321 series. Keely Pernicka shot high game with a 168.

Warrior girls bowl over Tigers

Courtney Snodgrass had the line with games of 210 and 197 for a 407 series that led Washington past Cedar Falls, 2592-2366, Friday in girls bowling at Lancer Lanes.

Washington's Keely Pernicka shot high game with a 224.

Washington held a 180-pin lead after the first round.

Wash girls down Linn-Mar bowlers

Kelly Waters fired a 224 high game and 397 series to lead Washington past Linn-Mar, 2689-2427, Friday in girls bowling at Lancer Lanes.

Keely Pernicka also had the line for the Warriors with a 196 high game and 377 series.

Paige Miller shot a 212 high game and 368 series to lead Linn-Mar.

Wash topples Xavier in girls bowling

Courtney Snodgrass shot a 209 high game and Lynze Moon a 388 series as the Washington girls toppled Xavier, 2618-2500, Friday in a bowling match at May City Bowl.

Xavier's Tara Trcka shot high game and series with a 237 and 410, respectively. Lisa Olberding shot a 212 game.

Washington held an 83-pin lead after the first round and won the Baker round by 35 pins.

Pernicka rolls 402 series for Warriors

WATERLOO -- Keely Pernicka bowled a 402 series for the Washington Warriors on Friday as they dropped a Mississippi Valley Conference meet to Waterloo East, 2559-2447, at Cadillac Lanes.

Ashley Cary of Waterloo East took top honors with a 438 series with games of 224 and 214.
