Pernicka hot, rest of Warriors not

Mckenzie Routhe and Abbey Stenersen had the hot hands for Linn-Mar and led the Lions past Washington, 2563-2282, Friday in a girls Mississippi Valley Conference bowling meet at Lancer Lanes.

Routhe rolled high game of 226 for Linn-Mar (6-6, 5-4 MVC). Stenersen had a 192 high game and rolled high series with a 376.

Washington (5-9, 2-7) was led by Keely Pernicka. She rolled a high game of 217 and a 398 series.

LINN-MAR (2563): Valerie Loudenback 163-322, Abbey Stenersen 192-376, Nicole McMahon 169-289, Mckenzie Routhe 226-354, Stacey Schwarzenstein 172-306.

WASHINGTON (2282): Ashley Duffy 156-305, Olivia LaGrange 152-302, Bryttanie Huff 148-285, Rachel Spencer 157-282, Keely Pernicka 217-398.

First round -- Linn-Mar 1647, Washington 1572. Baker round -- Linn-Mar 916, Washington 710.

Trcka torches the alley

Tara Trcka rolled games of 267 and 247 for a 514 series that led the Xavier girls past Washington, 2523-2475, Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference bowling match at Lancer Lanes.

Trcka's total was nearly 150 pins better than the next best score rolled by either team. Aileen Conway rolled a 173 high game and 328 series for Xavier (3-7, 3-5 MVC).

Washington (5-8, 2-6) was led by Ashley Duffy's 199 high game and 356 series. Rachel Spencer had a 191 game and Keely Pernicka a 340 series.

(XAVIER (2523): Abbey Konzen 148-291, Tyler Weger 162-301, Alyssa Schuster 160-275, Aileen Conway 173-328, Tara Trcka 267-514.

WASHINGTON (2475): Ashley Duffy 199-356, Courtney Snodgrass 143-283, Bryttanie Huff 149-281, Rachel Spencer 191-320, Keely Pernicka 181-340.

First round -- Xavier 1709, Washington 1580. Baker round -- Washington 895, Xavier 814.

Little Hawks roll over Warriors

IOWA CITY -- The Little Hawks rolled over Washington, 2465-2237, getting key series from Shannon Koppes and Abby Saehler, 342 and 350, respectively.

Olivia LaGrange and Brytannie Huff rolled high games of 165 for Washington. LaGrange also had high series with a 324.

Washington - Girls Bowling

Wahlert's hot shooter takes down Warriors

DUBUQUE -- Kristina Hochrein rolled games of 280 and 265 for a 545 series to power Dubuque Wahlert past Washington, 2695-2334, Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference bowling meet at Cherry Lanes.

Wahlert (2-4, 2-4 MVC) rolled a season high. The Golden Eagles built a nearly 300 pin lead in the first round and coasted to the win.

Washington - Girls Bowling

Spencer hot in Warriors' loss

Rachel Spencer rolled a two-game series of 212-181--393 Friday as Wahington dropped a tight Mississippi Valley Conference meet to Waterloo West, 2532-2473, at Lancer Lanes.

Ashley Duffy had a 201 game for the Warriors. Nicole Nelson led Waterloo West with a 242-168--410 series.
