Washington boys split tennis meets

Washington split a pair of boys tennis meets Saturday.

The Warriors drubbed Prairie, 9-0, then were beaten by Linn-Mar, 7-2.

Washington lost only two sets against Prairie. Reid Rossberger beat Blake Larsson, 6-0, 6-0, at No.1 singles.

Jackson Hoyt and Grant Kamin posted wins in singles against Linn-Mar.

Warriors blank Saints in tennis

Mitch Blades defeated Bill Young at No.1 singles, 6-4, 6-3, as the Washington Warriors swept the Xavier Saints 9-0 in boys tennis at Xavier Tuesday.

Jackson Hoyt, Ian Schweiger, Reid Rossberger, Oliver Hammond and Grant Kamin also won their singles matches for Washington.

Washington - Boys Tennis

Warriors 2nd at Dave Meyer Invitational

Iowa City West claimed three titles and won the Dave Meyer Washington Warrior Invitational boys tennis tournament Saturday at Vets Tennis Center.

Host Washington claimed the other crown and placed second.

Washington's Grant Kamin was second at No.2 singles.

The Warriors doubles team of Mitch Blades and Jackson Hoyt was first at No.1 doubles.

Washington boys netters trounce Wahlert

The Washington boys tennis team rocketed past Dubuque Wahlert, 8-1, Thursday at Washington.

The Warriors won five of six singles matches and all three doubles matches.

Jackson Hot, Ian Schweiger, Reid Rossberger, Oliver Hammond and Grant Kamin all were double winners for the Warriors.

Washington boys slammed by Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS - Cedar Falls trumped Cedar Rapids Washington, 8-1, in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys tennis meet in Cedar Falls Tuesday.

Mitch Blades and Jackson Hoyt combined for a victory at No.1 doubles for Washington's only triumph in the meet.
