Linn-Mar keglers hand Saints 1st loss

The Linn-Mar boys handed Xavier its first loss of the season Friday, 3248-3141, in a bowling match at Cedar Rapids Bowl.

The Lions posted their season high.

Raymond Glueck led the Lions with a 479 series and a 277 game.

Linn-Mar led by 57 pins after the first round, but Xavier made a run at the Lions with a 279 Baker game.

Miller helps Xavier bowlers roll along

Caleb Miller led a strong effort by the Xavier bowling team Friday with a 479 series as the Saints rolled by Cedar Falls, 3178-2710, at May City Lanes.

Miller claimed the high game with a 255 and the high series with his 479, but the Saints also got a 459 series from Zach Klimesh, a 430 from Zach Schnoebelen and a 427 from Brett Young.

Xavier boys roll by Warriors

Xavier built a 186-pin lead in the first round and rolled past Washington, 2831-2621, Friday in boys bowling at Lancer Lanes.

Xavier's Brett Young rolled a 234 for high game. Caleb Miller's 410 series paced the Saints.

Washington's Chris Schuttloffel had high series of 419. Bryan Cline had a 224 game for the Warriors.

Xavier boys bowlers fend off Prairie

The Xavier boys bowlers rolled four 200 games in the Baker round to hold off Prairie, 2959-2885, Friday afternoon at May City Bowl.

Xavier held a one-pin lead after the first round. Zach Klimesh led the Saints with a 419 series. Zach Schnoebelen shot a 242 game.

Andrew Galloro led Prairie with a 403 series. He tied with Walker Hunt for high game with 220.
