Fiala's 500 paces Prairie past Xavier

Brogan Fiala had the line Friday at May City Lanes, rolling games of 255 and 245 for a 500 series that propelled Prairie past Xavier, 3244-2915, in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys bowling match.

Prairie's Jeremy Cline had high game with a 279 that gave him a 477 series. The Hawks' Josh Kacena rolled a 237.

Zach Klimesh rolled a 253 high game for Xavier. Caleb Miller had a 227 and his 417 was high series.

Prairie held a 280-pin lead after the first round.

Beer, Elliott lead Xavier bowlers by Tigers

CEDAR FALLS - Jason Beer and Kyle Elliott had big days Friday as the Xavier Saints rolled by Cedar Falls in a Mississippi Valley Conference bowling meet by the score of 2789 to 2433.

Beer had a two-game series of 221-211--432 to capture top honors and Elliott was right behind at 213-217--430. Logan Buschette rolled a 214 in his second game for the Saints at Valley Park Lanes.

Caleb Miller and Kyle Elliott rolled 455 and 450 series, respectively, to lead Xavier past Iowa City High, 2894-2704, Friday in boys bowling at May City Bowl.

Milller also rolled high game of 268. Elliott had a 246.

Xavier's Guge fires Saints past Lions

Kirby Guge had the line for Xavier Friday, rolling games of 246 and 236 for a 482 series that led the Saints past Linn-Mar, 2986-2841, in a Mississippi Conference bowling meet at May City Bowl.

Xavier held a 198-pin lead after the first round. Zach Klimesh rolled a 235 high game and 445 series for the Saints. Logan Buschette also was hot with a 215 and 411, and Kyle Elliott had a 212 and 410.

Justin Wyant led Linn-Mar with a 248 high game and 421 series.
