Tallett takes 2nd in 3,000 at IC West

IOWA CITY - Katie Tallett of Xavier placed second in the 3,000-meter run at the Women of Troy track meet Tuesday at Iowa City West.

Tallett was timed in 10 minutes, 44.16 seconds. Gabby Skopec of Iowa City West set a meet record in the 3000 in 10:33.81.

Xavier placed second in the shuttle hurdle relay in 1:11.97 with Jenna Schwach, Maddix Stovie, Brie Baldus and Theresa Lampe.

Lampe finished third in the 100 high hurdles in 16.37 seconds.

Iowa City West ran away with the team title with 188 points. Xavier finished seventh out of eight teams with 25 points.

Xavier's Tallett takes 2nd in 3,000

IOWA CITY - Katie Tallett of Xavier placed second in the 3,000-meter run at the Sherwood Relays in Iowa City Tuesday.

Tallett was clocked in 11 minutes, 5 seconds.

The Saints finished second in the 800 sprint medley (1:58.92). They were third in the 4x800 relay (10:59.28) and the 4x100 shuttle hurdle relay (1:13.63).

Bettendorf won the meet with 182 points. Xavier placed fifth out of eight teams with 65 points.

Tallett wins 1,500 at Demon Indoor meet

MOUNT VERNON - Katie Tallett of Xavier won the 1,500-meter run at the Demon  Indoor track meet Thursday at Cornell College.

Tallett was clocked in 5 minutes, 13.86 seconds.

Ramsey, Dickes place 2nd at Cornell meet

MOUNT VERNON – Linn-Mar’s Kira Ramsey and Xavier’s Jennifer Dickes each earned second-place finishes at the Girls Demon Indoor track meet Thursday at Cornell College.

Ramsey finished second in the 200 meters in 27.85 seconds for the Lions. Dickes was second in the 400 in 1:04.28 for the Saints.

Linn-Mar’s Abby Gries finished right behind Dickes in the 400 with third place in 1:04.66.
