Coe women booted by Grinnell

GRINNELL - The Coe women's soccer team lost to Grinnell, 4-1, Tuesday in Grinnell.

Ashley Kupka tied the game for the Kohawks, 1-1, with a goal in the first half with an assist by Kelsey Fauser, but Grinnell scored the next three goals for the victory.

Carolyn Silverman tallied twice for Grinnell. Kristen Stacey and Kitt Richards also scored for the winners.

Coe's record fell to 2-4.

Fathallah's OT goal lifts Coe

Former Linn-mar prep Sarah Fathallah scored in the 109th minute off an assist from former Kennedy standout Jordan Holmes to give the Coe women's soccer team a 2-1 overtime win Sunday over Illinois Tech at Clark Field.

Coe (2-3) grabbed the lead in the fifth minute on a goal from Kelsey Fauser, also assisted by Holmes. Illinois Tech tied things up just before the half.

Kohawk goalie MJ Winterer had eight saves.

Coe women blank Knox in soccer

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Kelsey Fauser and Sarah Fathallah scored goals Sunday as the Coe women's soccer team blanked Knox, 2-0, at the AMC Colleges Tournament in Northfield, Minn.

Fauser connected at the 3:49 mark of the first half with an assist from Fathallah for a 1-0 lead. Fathallah connected for an unassisted goal at the 59:35 mark of the second half.

The Kohawks out-shot Knox, 18-7. MJ Winterer made three saves for Coe in goal.

Coe won its first game of the season, raising its record to 1-3. Knox fell to 0-3.

Coe - Women's Soccer

Lake Forest trips Coe women

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Coe College women's soccer team lost to Lake Forest, 3-1, at the AMC Colleges Tournament in St. Paul, Minn., Friday.

Danica Mason scored the only goal for the Kohawks (0-3) when she won a race for the ball and connected on a chip shot from 30 yards.

Lake Forest raised its record to 3-0.

Coe - Women's Soccer

Cornell trims Coe in women's soccer

MOUNT VERNON - Emily Snider scored late in the game Wednesday to snap a 1-1 tie and give Cornell a 2-1 victory over Coe in a women's college soccer match in Mount Vernon.

Cornell led, 1-0, at halftime on a goal by Alex Place.

Coe tied the game, 1-1, on a goal by Sarah Fathallah with an assist from Meg Tulenko.

Cornell raised its record to 2-1. The Kohawks fell to 0-2.
