Coe - Women's Swimming

Fitzgerald takes 3rd in 50 free

Sam Fitzgerald of Coe placed third in the women's 50 freestyle in 24.90 seconds Thursday on Day 2 of the Liberal Arts Championships at the Eby Fieldhouse pool.

Coe is in fourth place in the women's standings out of 11 teams. The Coe men are ninth and last in their standings.

The meet continues Friday and Saturday.

Deng takes 2nd in Liberal Arts diving

Jasmine Deng of Coe placed second in the diving competition at the Liberal Arts Championship Wednesday at the Eby Fieldhouse pool.

Kendallyn Recker of Coe finished fourth. Carissa Fuller of Minnesota-Morris won the event.

The meet continues at Coe Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Grinnell swimmers sweep Coe

GRINNELL – The Coe College men’s and women’s swimming teams suffered losses to Grinnell College on Saturday at Grinnell.

The Coe men lost, 157-61, and the Coe women fell, 177-72.

Andy Cheng won the 100 yard butterfly in 55.52 seconds for the Coe men. Ryan Batisto, Cheng, Tucker Dangremond and Timmy Bosn won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:36.36.

Kenni Sterns won the 100 butterfly for the Coe women in 1:05.52. Jasmine Deng took the 3-meter diving with a score of 196.95. Lindsey Meade won the 400 individual medley in 5:05.98.

Sam Fitzgerald, Kendall Bundy, Sterns and Brandi Peter claimed the 200 freestyle relay in 1:47.32.

Coe - Women's Swimming

Bundy earns swimming win for Coe women

CEDAR FALLS – Kendall Bundy was the lone winner for the Coe College women’s swimming team in a 188-77 loss to Northern Iowa on Friday at the Glen F. Henry Pool.

Bundy won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 23.34 seconds. She finished second on the 100 backstroke in 1:02.78.

Coe - Women's Swimming

Coe swimmers fall at Luther

DECORAH – The Coe College men’s and women’s swimming teams each lost to Luther College on Saturday. The Coe men fell 167.5 to 54.5 and the Coe women lost 157-80.

Sam Fitzgerald won the women’s 50 freestyle (25.59) and the 100 breaststroke (1:10.05) for Coe. Jasmine Deng won the 1-meter (233.35) and 3-meter diving (240.30).

Tucker Dangremond won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1 minute, 2.99 seconds for the Kohawks on the men’s side.
