Viterbo blanks Mustangs in women's soccer

Molly Machometa scored three goals and Viterbo held Mount Mercy to just one shot on goal in a 5-0 victory Wednesday afternoon at Kingston Stadium.

Meghan Ryan had a pair of saves for the Mustangs (7-5-1 overall, 0-3-1 in the Midwest Collegiate Conference).

The win pushed Viterbo to 12-2, 3-1.

Tough day for Mount Mercy soccer teams

DAVENPORT - The Mount Mercy University soccer teams suffered a pair of lopsided losses to St. Ambrose at the Davenport Soccer Complex Tuesday.

St. Ambrose defeated the Mount Mercy women, 6-1, and topped the Mount Mercy men, 6-0.

Danielle Herdliska scored the only goal of the day for the Mustangs. Taylor Eaker had the assist.

The Mount Mercy women fell to 7-4-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the Midwest Collegiate Conference. The Mount Mercy men fell to 9-4 overall and 1-2 in the league.

Mount Mercy women fall to GV

Grand View jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first half Saturday and defeatedĀ Mount Mercy, 3-1, in a Midwest Collegiate Conference women's soccer match at Lower Kingston Field.

Danielle Herdliska got the Mustangs on the board with a goal at the 80:23 mark of the contest. Mount Mercy fell to 7-3-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the league.

Kelsie Walter scored twice for Grand View (7-4-1, 1-0-1). Megan Randolph also scored for Grand View.

Mount Mercy women tie Clarke

The Mount Mercy women's soccer team battled Clarke to a 2-2 tie inĀ double-overtime Saturday at the Lower Kingston Field.

The Mustangs took a 2-0 lead in the first half, but they never found the net again.

Annie Feltes scored Mount Mercy's first goal with an assist from Danielle Herdliska. Ashli O'Shea furnished an unassisted goal for the Mustangs (7-2-1) in the Midwest Collegiate Conference season opener for both clubs.

Sara Doerr and Lydia Storms scored for Clarke (3-6-1).

Coe women blank Mustangs in soccer

Sarah Fathallah and Keira Frederito scored goals in the second half Friday as Coe blanked Mount Mercy, 2-0, in a women's soccer match at Coe.

MJ Winterer made three saves in goal for the shutout.

Meg Tulenko and Jordan Holmes collected assists for the Kohawks (3-4). Mount Mercy fell to 6-2.
