Jefferson girls rally past Kennedy bowlers

Jefferson rallied from a 21-pin deficit in the Baker round to beat Kennedy, 2510-2451, Tuesday in girls bowling at Cedar Rapids Bowl.

Courtney Moore led the J-Hawks with a high game of 268 and 443 series.

Amanda Wiedemeier had the hot hand for Kennedy, rolling games of 222 and 245 for a 467 series.

Jefferson took command of the match by picking up 100 pins over the third and fourth games of the Baker round.

Stacey Schwarzenstein rolled games of 183 and 180 for a 363 series that propelled Linn-Mar past Jefferson, 2554-2458, Friday in girls bowling at Cedar Rapids Bowl.

McKenzie Routhe shot a 196 high game for Linn-Mar (6-4).

Courtney Moore shot games of 191 and 188 for a 379 series to lead Jefferson (7-3).

Rylea Bennett's 412 series led Jefferson past Prairie, 2746-2430, Friday in girls bowling at Lancer Lanes.

Bennett rolled games of 219 and 193 to lead the J-Hawks. Lindsey James shot high game for the J-Hawks with a 234. Nicole Petersen had a 204.

Katlynn Palmer led Prairie with a 211 high game and 360 series.

Rylea Bennett shot a 221 high game and 398 series to lead Jefferson past Dubuque Hempstead, 26-27-2383, Friday in girls bowling at May City Bowl.

Nicole Petersen shot a 193 high game and 366 series, and Courtney Moore a 192 high game and 364 series for the J-Hawks.

Petersen's 497 powers J-Hawk girls past Cedar Falls

Nicole Petersen had the hot hand Tuesday, rolling games of 265 and 232 for a 497 series that powered Jefferson past Cedar Falls, 2762-2291, in girls bowing at May City Bowl.

Jefferson (6-2) got solid showings from Laura Hemphill (363), Rylea Bennett (343), Jessie Alff (335) and Courtney Moore (331).

Christine Holman rolled a 403 for Cedar Falls (1-7).
