J-Hawks place 10th at MVC golf tournament
Zach Denny shot a 2-over-par 74 Thursday to help Jefferson finish 10th in the Mississippi Valley Conference golf tournament at Twin Pines.
Denny, a sophomore, fired a 2-under 34 on the front nine holes.
Eric Lehmkuhl and Mitch Willems both shot 4-over 76 for Jefferson and Gavin Williams finished at 82. The J-Hawks shot 20-over 308 as a team.
Kennedy won the title at 14-under 274. Brigham Stewart of Kennedy won medalist honors with an 8-under 64 and Cody Bell of Kennedy was the runnerup at 6-under 66.
