Jefferson boys boot Waterloo East

WATERLOO - Aloni Ikizakubuntu scored three goals Friday as Jefferson drubbed Waterloo East, 15-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference soccer match in Waterloo.

Carter Schmitz, Bryce Dake and Jacob Chiza scored twice for the J-Hawks.

MacArthur Karr, Jordan Hawkins, Austin Schumacher, Logan Thompson, Joey Hankins and Victor Baccam also scored for Jefferson.

 

 

Jefferson - Boys Soccer

No.2 Cougars nip No.4 Lions, 3-2

Mark Schulz scored two goals Thursday night as the second-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy Cougars trimmed No.4 Linn-Mar, 3-2, in a premier Mississippi Valley Conference boys soccer match at Linn-Mar.

Nikolas Newcamp also scored for Kennedy (2-1). Killian Magee, Jacob Sarasin, JJ Reinhart, Schulz and Reid Botkin collected assists for the Cougars.

Linn-Mar (6-1) took the lead in the 5th minute and again in the 13th minute, but Kennedy rallied each time.

Daniel Luzindya scored both of the goals for Linn-Mar.

The game was tied at halftime, 2-2.

J-Hawks fall to Rams in PK shootout

The Jefferson boys soccer team gave Dubuque Senior a good battle Tuesday before losing to the Rams, 2-1, in a PK Shootout at Jefferson.

The score was tied, 1-1, after regulation. Bryce Lund tallied for the J-Hawks with an assist from Carter Schmitz.

Neither team score in overtime and Dubuque Senior won the Shootout, 3-2.

Lions nip J-Hawks in boys soccer

It took 72 minutes, but the Linn-Mar Lions finally scored and trimmed Cedar Rapids Jefferson in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys soccer meet at the Lower Kingston field in Cedar Rapids on Thursday.

A shot by Kevin Simons was turned away, but Ben Johnson scored on the rebound to give fifth-ranked Linn-Mar a 1-0 victory.

Two other scoring opportunities for Linn-Mar hit the post.

J-Hawk boys boot Davenport North

Seth Jellison, Jordan Hawkins and Carter Schmidtz scored goals Tuesday as Cedar Rapids Jefferson blanked Davenport North, 3-0, in a boys soccer match at the Lower Kingston field in Cedar Rapids.

Ian Karr, Henok Kidane and Zeb Grimm had assists for the J-Hawks.
