Terman, Walsh lead J-Hawks past Prairie

Crystal Terman beat Maddie Rainey at No. 1 singles and teamed up with Kelli Walsh at No. 1 doubles to lead Jefferson past Prairie, 7-2, Thursday in girls tennis at Prairie.

Walsh also won her singles match for the J-Hawks. They were the only double winners in the meet.

J-Hawk girls split with Dubuque teams

DUBUQUE - The Jefferson High School girls tennis team split a pair of Mississippi Valley Conference meets in Dubuque on Saturday.

The J-Hawks topped Dubuque Senior, 5-4, in their first match and lost to Dubuque Wahlert, 6-3, in their second outing.

Shaylee Maas won both of her matches at No.6 singles for Jefferson.

Linn-Mar netters knock off J-Hawks

Katie Rakers, Jenna Myers, Ashley Smith, Gabi Botsford and Emily Jones cruised to victories in their singles matches Thursday as Linn-Mar topped Jefferson, 8-1, in a Mississippi Valley Conference tennis meet at Linn-Mar.

Rakers defeated Crystal Terman at No. 1 singles, 10-1.
