J-Hawks post girls tennis sweep in Waterloo

WATERLOO - The Jefferson High School girls tennis team spent a productive day in Waterloo Monday.

The J-Hawks blanked Waterloo East, 9-0, and topped Waterloo West, 5-4. The J-Hawks won every set against Waterloo East.

Crystal Terman, Veronica Day and Kelli Walsh won both of their singles matches for Jefferson.

Jefferson got roughed up by Dubuque Wahlert in the morning, but came back to drub Dubuque Senior in the afternoon Saturday in a pair of girls tennis meets.

Wahlert beat the J-Hawks, 9-0. Jefferson bounced back to beat Senior, 8-1.
