Donner sizzles as J-Hawks nip Cougars

Chaise Donner rolled a big 493 series Monday to help the Jefferson J-Hawks trim Kennedy, 2943-2919, in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet at the Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.

Donner began the meet with a 236 game and followed with a 257 for his impressive score.

Jefferson topped Kennedy, 232-183, in the final baker game to capture the tight meet.

James Jambois rolled a 426 series for Kennedy and Aeron Stockwell had a 421. Riley Walton provided a 420 series for Jefferson.

JEFFERSON: Riley Walton 195+225=420, Logan Miller 168+183=351, Chaise Donner 236+257=493, Hunter Sturtz 145+218=363, Tanner Bennett 174+203=377, John Gardner 137+161=298.

Goodwin rolls 537 series for Cougars

Bert Goodwin rolled a 279 game and a 537 series as the Kennedy boys bowling team soared past Iowa City High 3,265 pins to 2,501 Thursday at the Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.

Dakota Dipple also had a 279 game and finished with a 503 series for the Cougars.

IOWA CITY HIGH: Andrew Franz 212-167=379, Winston Lui 157-205=362, Cameron Chavez 149-163=312, Paul Sirena 151-158=309, Dylan Harrison 138-157=295.

Jambois rolls 415 series for Kennedy

DUBUQUE – The Kennedy boys bowling team couldn’t catch Dubuque Hempstead and lost 3,277 pins to 2,908 Tuesday at Cherry Lanes.

James Jambois rolled a 236 game and a 415 series for the Cougars.

Justin Lanser had a 504 series for Dubuque Hempstead.

Jambois leads Cougars by Saints

The Kennedy boys bowling team defeated Xavier 2,975 pins to 2,494 Friday at the Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.

James Jambois had a 245 game and a 489 series to lead the Cougars. Charlie Hart had a 202 game and Michael Buenzow had a 376 series for the Saints.

Hiatt helps Cougars bowl over Warriors

Max Hiatt rolled a 444 series to lead the Kennedy boys bowling team to a 2,826-2,381 win over Washington on Tuesday at Lancer Lanes.

Hunter Bachmeier had a 334 series to lead the Warriors.
