Kaness-led Warriors conquer Cougars

Kyle Kaness had the line for the Washington boys Friday, firing a high game of 259 and a 466 series that led the Warriors to a 2993-2647 win over Kennedy at Lancer Lanes.

Quincy Bruce and Zach Christensen also had the line for the Warriors. Bruce shot a 236 high game and 439 series. Christensen had a 216 high game and 416 series.

Troy McKiernan led Kennedy with a 238 high game and 423 series.

Smith fires Kennedy boys to win

CEDAR FALLS -- Aaron Smith fired a 371 series to lead Kennedy past Cedar Falls, 2490-2346, Tuesday in boys bowling.

Smith rolled games of 171 and 200.

James and Kilts roll J-Hawks past Kennedy

Will James rolled a 279 high game and 484 series to fire Jefferson past Kennedy, 3126-2799, Tuesday in boys bowling at Cedar Rapids Bowl.

All five Jefferson bowlers rolled 400 series. Michael Kilts fired games 247 and 234 for a 481 series. Austin Kluth rolled a 425, Zach Trcka a 414 and Travis Nissen a 410.

Kyle Custer led Kennedy with games of 202 and 266 for a 468 series. Troy McKiernan had a 424.

Saints boys roll past Kennedy bowlers

Caleb Miller, Logan Buschette and Kyle Elliott rolled 400 series to help Xavier hold off Kennedy, 3085-2925, Friday in boys bowling at May City Bowl.

Miller had high game (258) and series (461) to lead the Saints (6-4). Buschette shot a high game of 237 and a 430 series, and Elliott fired a 224 and 423.

Xavier led by 50 pins after the first round, then outscored the Cougars 990-880 in the Baker round.

Troy McKiernan had high game of 236 for Kennedy (1-9). Jared Poole rolled high series of 432. McKiernan had a 427 and Nathan Boebel a 414.
