Linn-Mar boys netters dump Kennedy

Linn-Mar won four singles matches then swept doubles and dumped Kennedy, 7-2, Friday in boys tennis at Kennedy.

Kennedy senior Riley Galbraith beat Linn-Mar soph Brady Anderson at No. 1 singles, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (5).

Tyler McCann, Dillon Einck, Trevor McCann and Blake Young won singles matches for Linn-Mar.

Galbraith leads Cougars by J-Hawks

Riley Galbraith defeated Jacob Donald, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1 singles Thursday as Kennedy clipped Jefferson, 6-2, in a Mississippi Valley Conference tennis meet at Jefferson.

Mitch Martin, Arjun Venkatesh, Quinn Jamrock and Trevor Oates also won singles matches for the Cougars.

Kennedy netters blank Prairie

Riley Galbraith cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Kevin LeCaptain at No. 1 singles Wednesday as Kennedy blanked Prairie, 9-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet at Kennedy.

Mitch Martin, Arjun Venkatesh, Jimmy Cunningham, Quinn Jamrock and Brett Blomberg also collected straight-set victories for the Cougars (7-2, 3-0).

Kennedy boys tripped by Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS - The Cedar Rapids Kennedy boys tennis team was defeated by Cedar Falls, 7-2, Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet in Cedar Falls.

Brett Blomberg picked up a point for the Cougars at No. 5 singles and teamed with Jimmy Cunningham for a victory at No. 3 doubles.

No. 1 singles player Riley Galbraith did not play for Kennedy. He also plays soccer and kicked the winning goal in a shootout win over Prairie on Tuesday.
