Kennedy girls clipped by Wahlert

DUBUQUE -- Wahlert won four of six singles matches and one doubles match to pull out a 5-4 win over Kennedy in a girls tennis meet Thursday.

Ashley Schlueter and Lindsay Minder won two matches each for Kennedy.

Cougars blank Saints in girls tennis

Jackie Pedersen defeated Lisa Hoffman at No.1 singles Monday as Kennedy blanked Xavier, 9-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet at Kennedy.

Sarah Lasecki, Kali Hildebrand, Katherine Thompson, Ashley Schlueter and Lindsay Minder also won singles matches for the Cougars.

Cougars clobber City High, fall to West

IOWA CITY --Kennedy routed Iowa City High in the morning, then found itself at the other end of the spectrum in the afternoon against Iowa City West on Saturday.

The Cougars whipped City High, 9-0, losing only seven of 97 games.

Kennedy then fell to Iowa City West, 8-1.

Kali Hildebrand and Ashley Schlueter were the only Cougars to win three matches.

Cougars conquered by Warriors in girls tennis

The Washington Warriors won four of the top-five singles matches Thursday and clipped Kennedy, 6-3, in a Mississippi Valley Conference girls tennis meet at Kennedy.

Jackie Pedersen won the No.1 singles match for the Cougars, but Kristin King, Olivia Brooks, Rina Moore and Lanie Sabin won the next four matches for Washington.

The Warriors captured No.1 doubles and No.2 doubles to secure the victory.
