Linn-Mar wins Prairie bowling title

The Linn-Mar Lions swept Kennedy in the championship round, 188-182 and 242-181, to capture top honors at the 6th Annual Prairie Baker Tournament Saturday at Lancer Lanes.

Ryan Wyant, Kaleb Foye, Andrew Yeisley, Alex Diercks, Logan Foye and Sam Crawford bowled for Linn-Mar in the eight-team tournament. The Lions defeated Jefferson, 2-1, in the first round and swept Marion, 2-0, in the semifinals.

The Marion Indians topped Davenport North for third place.

Foye rolls 432 series for Lions

Logan Foye’s 432 series led the Linn-Mar boys bowling team to a 3,099 to 2,935 win over Waterloo West on Friday at the Cedar Rapids Bowling Center. Alex Diercks was close behind with a 428 series for the Lions, and Sam Crawford had a 423.

Tanner Sampson led the Wahawks with a 333 series.

Crawford’s 487 leads Lions

WATERLOO – Sam Crawford rolled a 487 series to lead the Linn-Mar boys bowling team to a 3,155 to 2,909 win over Waterloo East on Friday at Cadillac Lanes.

Andrew Yeisley (443), Kaleb Foye (429) and Alex Diercks (411) also had series of more than 400 pins for the Lions.

Bryce Staver led the Trojans with a 462 series.

Sam Crawford had a 448 series to lead the Linn-Mar boys bowling team in a 2,987 to 2,445 win over Iowa City High on Friday at the Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.

Kaleb Foye added a 435 series for the Lions.

Kolby Melsha had a 462 series for the Little Hawks.
