Marion boys shoot low at Gardner

Marion had five golfers shoot 42 or better Thursday and routed Center Point-Urbana, 161-179, in a boys dual meet at Gardner golf course.

Ian Kelly was medalist with a 37. Kenneth Wade and Brandon Keel shot 41s, and Tyler Ohl and Jeremy Schnieders had 42s for Marion.

This was a makeup of a meet that had been twice been postponed by weather.

Wagner leads Marion golfers in Maquoketa

MAQUOKETA - Mitch Wagner fired an 80 Wednesday to help the Marion Indians finish fifth at the Maquoketa Invitational golf tournament.

Maquoketa won the title with a four-man score of 314.

Blythe's 37 dooms Marion boys golfers

WILLIAMSBURG -- Corbin Blythe shot a 1-over par 37 Monday to lead Williamsburg past Marion, 160-170, in a boys golf meet at Stone Creek Golf Club.

Jeremy Schnieders and Ian Kelly each shot 40 to lead Marion.

Marion golfers 2nd at Washington Invy

WASHINGTON, Iowa - Ian Kelly and Jeremy Schnieders shot 13-over-par 83's Saturday as the Marion Indians placed second in the Class AA standings at the Washington Invitational golf tournament at the Washington Country Club.
