Prairie High School - Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Girls regional final moved to Ankeny

The championship game of the Region 6 girls basketball tournament in Class 5A will be played at Ankeny High School instead of Newton High School on Tuesday, Feb. 19.

The location was changed due to a scheduling conflict at Newton, according to the IGHSAU.

Cedar Rapids Washington, Cedar Rapids Prairie or Linn-Mar will be playing in the Region 6 finals against Waukee or Johnston.

Prairie will host Linn-Mar in the regional quarterfinals on Feb. 13, with the winner facing the Washington Warriors at Washington on Feb. 16. The survivor will advance to the regional finals and try to earn a spot in the state tournament.
