Rally lets Lion keglers stay unbeaten

DUBUQUE - The Linn-Mar boys bowling team used a powerful Baker round to rally past stubborn Dubuque Wahlert for a 3258-3174 victory Tuesday that completed an unbeaten season.

The Lions finished 11-0.

Trent Jochimsen led Linn-Mar with games of 244 and 216 for a 460 series. Justin Wyant rolled a 437 series, Colby Frye 430 and Austin Swanson 422.

Linn-Mar trailed by 16 pins after first-round singles. It marked the first time the Lions trailed after the first round this season.

The Lions faced a 30-pin deficit heading into the fourth Baker game, when they put together their second 244 of the set. That gave them a 19-pin margin and they fired a 259 in the final game to complete the comeback.
