AMES - Cedar Rapids Washington graduate Stacy Frese Huber will be inducted into the Iowa State Athletics Hall of Fame this fall, the ISU Letterwinners Club announced Monday.
Frese Huber was a star basketball player for the Cyclones from 1998-2000.
Six former Iowa State athletes will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Oct. 16 in a ceremony at the ISU Alumni Center in Ames. The other inductees are Dale Bahr (wrestling, 1966-68), Marcus Fizer (basketball, 1998-2000), George Martin (wrestling, 1931-33), Jeff Myers (track/cross country, 1974-78) and Tim Van Galder (football/baseball, 1964-66).
Frese Huber was a two-time All-American for the Cyclones and a three-time winner of ISU's Female Athlete of the Year Award. She led Iowa State to three straight NCAA tournaments, including a trip to the Elite 8 in 1999 and the Sweet 16 in 2000.
She owns the school record for most 3-pointers in a season and made all eight of her 3-pointers against Nebraska in 1999, the second-best performance in NCAA history.
