The Mount Mercy women's volleyball team was edged by Baker, 3-2, in a Heartland Conference match Saturday at the Hennessey Recreation Center.
The Mustangs bounced back in the match to tie the score at 1-1 and 2-2, but Baker dominated the third set for the victory. Baker prevailed 27-25, 18-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-5.
The outcome dropped Mount Mercy to 17-10 overall and 7-7 in the conference. Baker raised its records to 11-18 overall and 5-8 in the league.
Maddie Bell and Abbi Tunis had 13 kills for the Mustangs. Kayla Daggett collected 46 assists. Gabi Delsing contributed 22 digs.
