A disappointing season had an unhappy ending for the Mount Mercy men's basketball team Saturday afternoon.
The Mustangs lost to MidAmerica Nazarene, 98-76, in a Heart of America Conference game at the Hennessey Recreation Center.
The visitors from Kansas led by 29 points at halftime, 59-30, and opened a 34-point cushion in the second half.
Mount Mercy finished the season at 14-16 overall and 9-15 in the conference. The Mustangs placed 10th in the league standings and did not make the postseason tournament.
Davion Watson led the Mustangs with 26 points. Dennis McKinney scored 11 points.
Dakota Quinn poured in 30 points for MidAmerica Nazarene (19-11, 15-9).
