18 Metro wrestlers ranked by Predicament

Eighteen wrestlers from Metro high schools are ranked this week by The Predicament.

Eight wrestlers from Cedar Rapids Prairie are ranked in the top 10, with Zach Witte rated No. 1 at 152 pounds. Witte, a 2010 state champion, has not wrestled yet this season due to a broken bone in his left arm suffered during the football season.

Prairie's other ranked grapplers are Chris Walters (4th at 120 pounds), Andrew Netolicky (4th at 220), Josh Wenger (5th at 113), Cameron Rathje (5th at 170), Trey Blaha (6th at 126), Austin Gould (9th at 182) and Peyton Wagner (10th at 145).

Linn-Mar has six ranked wrestlers on its team. Mitch Wantock is ranked third at 170 pounds, even though he has not wrestled due to a broken ankle suffered during the football season. Mark Atwater is ranked third at 182 after returning to the lineup last week following surgery.

Linn-Mar's other ranked wrestlers are Joel Northrup (5th at 132), Ross Lembeck (5th at 145), Alijah Jeffery (6th at 113) and Matt Wempen (7th at 106).

Kennedy has three rankers wrestlers with Luke Kremer (3rd at 132), Ryan Rodriguez (9th at 138) and Shane Williams (9th at 160).

Tyler Burrell of Washington is ranked third at 285 pounds.
