Jaime Printy hurt in UI victory

MADISON, Wis. - University of Iowa junior Jaime Printy suffered an apparent knee injury in a Big Ten basketball game at Wisconsin Thursday night.

Printy, a 5-foot-11 guard from Linn-Mar, got hurt in overtime as the Hawkeyes topped the Badgers, 85-79.

"Jaime doesn't feel good about it," Iowa Coach Lisa Bluder said after the game, according to the UI website. "The doctor's looking at it right now, but as of right now she doesn't feel very good about it. It's pretty bittersweet."

Printy is Iowa's leading scorer this season at 16.9 points per game. She ranks ninth in school history with 1,409 points in three years and became the youngest player in team history with 1,000 points when she reached the milestone last season.

Printy was a second team all-Big Ten selection as a freshman and sophomore and was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2009-2010. She committed to the Hawkeyes when she was 15 years old, becoming the youngest player to commit to the UI women's program in history.

Printy suffered a serious knee injury when she was a prep sophomore that forced her to miss all but four games that season.
