Hawk spikers stumble at Wahlert

DUBUQUE - Prairie was beaten in straight sets by Class 4A No. 6 Dubuque Wahlert on Tuesday night in Mississippi Valley Conference volleyball.

Wahlert won by scores of, 25-19, 29-27, 27-25.

Prairie (5-6, 1-2 MVC) was hoping to build off a 4-1 showing last Saturday at the Linn-Mar Invitational.

"We seemed to play tight all night and just could not get into any rhythm," Coach Kevin Geary said. "We were really hoping to build off what we did this past weekend, however, we just seemed too timid."
