Haley McFarlane is the only player in the history of the Iowa Women's Softball League to belt two home runs in a single game.
She did it last year and now she's done it again.
McFarlane socked a pair of solo homers as Ironside Apparel trimmed Emil's Hideaway, 2-1, in the first game of their doubleheader Sunday at Busse Field.
McFarlane hit both of her home runs against Natalie Halvorson, the top pitcher for the DePaul Blue Demons this year. McFarlane and Halvorson were teammates at Cedar Rapids Prairie.
McFarlane, who plays at Saint Cloud State, hit a line drive over the wall in left field for her first homer. She belted a long shot off the scoreboard in left-center for her second homer.
Kelsey Aikey of Western Kentucky was the winning pitcher for Ironside Apparel in the 2-1 victory. She tossed a four-hitter with four strikeouts.
Ironside Apparel won the second game, 4-2, to sweep the doubleheader. McFarlane had two sacrifice flies, giving her four RBIs for the day.
Peyton Daugherty of South Dakota State was 2-for-2 and scored twice. Jen Giesey of Winona State was 2-for-2 with a double and RBI. Adara Opiola of UNI contributed an RBI single.
Caitlin Cruise of Clarke pitched three shutout innings for the victory for Ironside Apparel in Game 2. Cruise and Taylor Kurtz from the University of Dubuque combined on a two-hitter.

It took five weeks, but Bosch Financial finally tasted defeat in the IWSL this season.

Bosch Financial is now 6-1-3 for the campaign, tied for first place with Ironside Apparel with identical 6-1-3 marks with six victories, one defeat and three ties.

Brooke Goodman of Dubuque had an RBI single for Hawkeye Convenience Stores in the first game.
Sarah Lehman of Iowa had a big game for Hawkeye Convenience Stores in their 7-1 victory in the nightcap. She pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
Kylee Biedermann of Dubuque had three straight walks and scored three runs for Hawkeye Convenience Stores.
